Open at Last!

Greenberry House Yarn, Books and Collectibles
Meadows of Dan, Virginia
We did it! After three long weeks of hard work and a LOT of help from some great friends, Greenberry House is finally open for business at our new location at 12206 Squirrel Spur Road in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near the business center of town.

Local yarn, hand made stitch markers, pin cushions and cards by local artists and photographers.
I grew up in this old house here on the family farm in Meadows of Dan. My brother inherited the farm and his wife has a craft shop, also on the farm and holds festivals through the year and has a wonderful music themed corn maze and a pumpkin patch every fall. The house was built in about 1900 and has belonged to the Shelor family most of the time. The land originally belonged to the Langhorne land grant and was once set aside for a church which wasn't built. There was an older house on the property, near the spring where we still get our water, and once there was an apple orchard above the house.

Fiber from local farmers, felted sheets, Greener Shades dyes and back issues of fiber magazines.
Much of the fiber part of our shop is already set up, but I will be adding collectibles and used books as I have time throughout the rest of the season. I'll also be adding some quality hand knitted items such as hats, shawls and sweaters. We have wonderful felting packs, lots of small quantity packs of various fibers including cotton, silk and more for blending.

Jewelry, sock making videos by Anna Zilboorg, hot pads, books, buttons and more!
Meadows of Dan is a beautiful small community with interesting shops, a candy store, great places to eat and the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mabry Mill nearby. There seems to be something happening every weekend during the summer, with music at the Crooked Road Cafe and numerous festivals in the region. Make sure to stop in and see our wonderful and special yarns and fibers while you are here and see all the beautiful gifts we have for your special spinner or knitter!
Our helpful staff will greet you from their station in the workroom!
